The documented record begins with a video production company founded by a sixteen-year-old. Maddison Lake started L.E.D Moonlit Productions with two friends, and by his own later account it grew from the living room to having secretaries at his high school taking business calls for him.
An August 2002 capture of ledmoonlitproductions.com shows what the business was actually selling, and the list is longer than the story implies: wedding videos, insurance videos, video profiles, portfolios, commercials, corporate videos, infomercials, events, seminars, training videos, reunions, and animation. The site set a blue wordmark against black and white, in #2E43C6. That is not a hobby page. It is a small production house pitching corporate and insurance work.
The 260 by 60 pixel wordmark recovered from that capture is the oldest brand asset in the company archive.
The company predates Lake Holdings, which was founded on January 13, 2007. Its documented record consists of a single August 2002 capture of the site, a surviving wordmark, and the founder's own later account. Precise start and end dates are not recorded anywhere in the company records.

Why it mattered
