Intelifact

Intelifact was founded in Asheville, North Carolina and launched its service in June 2010. It described itself as an established data research company built to safely and responsibly introduce the world's first successful cell phone number lookup service. For less than fifteen dollars, a user could look up anyone's cell phone or unlisted landline number anywhere in the United States and Canada. The company framed the product not as a raw database query but as a research service: a team of researchers compiled reports and assured accuracy rather than returning a raw match.

Maddison Lake is publicly listed as its President. The company appears in no Lake Holdings document corpus or public filing reviewed during the research phase of this project, but a June 2010 press release published on Newswire.com places it in Asheville at the time he was running Lake Holdings and documents the launch in his own words. The business is consistent with the information products era that followed: building a verified body of knowledge about a specific population of data, then selling access to the verification.
