Attorney Finder Pro was the demand side of the group's legal-vertical business, a free service that connected users with highly qualified attorneys discreetly and offered free case reports and background checks to prospective clients. Archived captures run from 2010 to 2016. The homepage asked for very little: a six-digit file number, a phone number, an optional email address, and a checkbox requesting the free case report and background check. Its logo paired a blue circular emblem carrying a scales and figure motif with the wordmark ATTORNEY FINDER PRO.
The monetization is stated plainly in the site's own disclaimer, which is worth reading because it is more candid than most lead-generation copy of the period. Attorney Finder Pro was not a lawyer referral service and not a law firm, it endorsed no participating lawyer, and the attorney profiles it listed were advertisements for which the participating attorneys were required to pay a fee. The consumer received a free introduction. The attorney paid for it.
Of the two legal-vertical brands, this is the one that did not carry forward. Arrest Record Marketing went on publishing until 2022 and became the recognizable ancestor of the company's modern direct mail operations, while attorneyfinderpro.com stops in 2016 and the site is now dead.
The site promised highly qualified attorneys while its own disclaimer stated that Attorney Finder Pro made no representation and no judgment as to the qualifications, expertise or credentials of any participating lawyer. Both statements appeared on the same page.
The strategic point
Why it mattered
Attorney Finder Pro and Arrest Record Marketing addressed the same market from opposite ends, and the structure is the most elegant thing in this part of the portfolio. One business acquired public court data and converted it into attorney clients through direct mail. The other captured consumers actively searching for an attorney and routed them to the same customer base. Both monetized a single underlying asset, a proprietary pipeline of legal-vertical intent data.
The method descends recognizably from Cinema Preservation Group, which built a research capability about a specific population, in that case the location and ownership of 35mm projection equipment, and monetized it from whichever side of the transaction paid better. Here the population is people with a legal problem, and the side that paid better was the attorney.
