WNC Appliance sold discounted major appliances to businesses and individuals. Its 2011 site, built entirely in Flash on the Wix platform, offered up to ninety percent off new refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, microwaves, ovens, stoves and more. The brand was established under Lake Holdings in 2007.
Its retail floor is where Boost Liquidation began. Boost's first transaction was a single truckload of high-end scratch-and-dent LG and Samsung appliances, goods unavailable in the Asheville market except new at big-box retail for roughly double the price, and that truckload became WNC Appliance's stock. The operations lead who later ran Boost Liquidation arrived through this business, where the sourcing of non-appliance liquidated goods laid the foundations of what Boost became.
The domain was later sold and now belongs to a Chinese pump valve manufacturer with no connection to Lake Holdings. No brand mark has been recovered.

A discount appliance floor in Asheville is an unremarkable business on its own terms. As the place where a small retailer discovered it would rather be a logistics operation, it is the opening of the most expensive lesson in the record.
